The key strength to surpassing one's limit and going beyond the rift is to feel the essence of all life that exists and their will to protect them. It is this sense of protection that brings out the best of us in the worst situations.
Season 2 of 'Enen no Shouboutai' begins right where it had left off and just like the first season it helps to bring more facts and stories of the past into light with its ever-so progressive plot and timeline. We get to know more in detail about the kind of foes that the Special Fire Force is fighting and understand why they must all unite if they are to ever stand a chance against the Evangelist. Through their dangerous encounters into the unknown, there are many lives that are lost which makes the anime take a step towards reality as it exposes our characters in dangers and gives them the boost that they need at times like these. However, even in all seriousness, the anime still does not let go of its background humor which helps to lighten up the situation and give a pleasant feeling to it.
Coming to the aspect that really saves the anime from falling apart at any given time is an amazing animation and visual production that is implemented here. Every scene, from causal chit-chat to the choreography of the fights and exploration has amazing post-production and animation which brings life to the anime and gives us a 360 view of what's happening around our characters, making the anime even more worthwhile and amazing.
