"Dreams are things that you wake up from." A saying so pure and heartfelt that it brings chills right up your spine when you understand the essence of it. Taking a step back from all the drama and mystery, this is an anime that brings to you a background from the 90s and a story that really changes your way to interpret mortality and life.

The main plot here revolves around our protagonist Hibiki Yuta who one day suddenly wakes up to find that he has lost all his memories and is now in charge of fighting 'Kaijus' and saving the lives of thousands. At first glance the anime seems to be really simple and subtle but, the thing that soaks you in is the simple change of roles in the side of villains and heroes. From having a God turned dark and evil to an alien who is the mastermind of this whole scene, this is an anime that just doesn't give you the time to rest and think on your own. With one pow after another, the anime really pulls its punches when depicting the story through the eyes of our protagonists.

The other factor that plays a big role here, is the animation of the anime. With a flawless frame rate, high-end action, and casual scenes the anime again gets better as the story progresses giving it an element of superiority as it just helps the viewer to pull in interest while watching it. However, as it goes the anime too has a rough side to it as it leaves many questions unsolved, like what is to become of Yuta after all the fighting? What was the previous connection between Yuta and Rikka? Why was the 'green Kaiju girl' thankful to Yuta? and many more.

This anime is recommended for every "SHOUNEN" anime lover.
