The anime's prequel-based sequel movie, JJK 0, brings to light the events that took place before the involvement of Itadodi in Jujutsu High. Okkotsu Yuta has a curse on his girlfriend Rika Orimoto lingering with him after her death in a car accident and ever since she has taken care of bullies for him.

Not understanding how to stop hurting others, he completely isolates himself from society, and is thus, recruited by Gojo Satoru to join Jujutsu High. He trains with characters we have met before, like Panda, Inumaki, and Maki-san, and finally gets a hold of Rika. Slowly but surely, Yuta becomes stronger with their help, and just when things start to turn proper for him in a long time, he is greeted by his arch-nemesis, Suguru Geto. Being a former special grade curse user in Jujutsu High himself, Geto has a dream to make the world pure by mass-killing normal people that are not Jujutsu sorcerers. The movie itself introduces Yuta and shows us the vast use of his curse that might be used in the 2nd and 3rd seasons of the anime. Following the pace of the anime itself, the movie does not waste time with ideal chatter and unnecessary scenes and keeps the action and production of the characters to the point.

It really is a straightforward movie with flawless animation and post-production. The fighting scenes are really crisp and clear and this takes energies from MAPPA to a whole another level. The movie itself feels like the crossover of anime series as it doesn't BS with silly topics and keeps its attention on the main story.

This movie is absolutely a "MUST WATCH."
