Sometimes you need someone the most but because of the power/status that you have, you often fail to make friends in your life. You constantly wish for times when you could share your deepest thoughts with someone but then again looking back at everything that has happened you realize that you are the only one to take care of yourself, as involving others in your life may damage their own sanity.
Varvatos is someone who fits the same description, having lost in life by not protecting his loved one, he decides to end his life in hopes of reincarnation and getting over it. Besides being all-powerful and mighty, Ard Meteor (reincarnated Varvatos) decides to complete his lonely life by making friends he can care for and depend on. Having his memories intact and getting all strong again, he now decides to live as a typical villager nobody as that way he can live comfortably without people having to fear him. The main plot of the anime is really basic as there is no fear factor involved, no consequences, and nothing that really has an edge over our MC. He deems to live a life of a nobody but every time danger arises, he goes on to showcase his full strength without thinking of the consequences, and this aspect of the anime makes the plot dull and opaque.
In terms of animation, it isn't anything to hype about as that too is basic and subtle. Though there are times when animation reaches its peak, it still fails to maintain interest in the anime, and probably the only saving grace here is the fact that it has room for future improvements. As I can say that with a little bit of more solid backstory, and character development, it might just turn out to be a decent anime in the end.
This anime is recommended for every "FANTASY" anime lover.
