"THE QUINTESSENTIAL QUINTUPLETS SEASON 2"
Genre- Romance, Slice of Life, Comedy, Shojo, Harem.
Love is a wonderful thing, but at times it can also be dangerous. Being too much in love brings out a person in us that may seem okay in our eyes but at the same time may be despicable in the eyes of the person you love the most. The feeling of him/her slowly drifting apart and being stolen from you is enough to bring out your worst and though those feelings brought about by insecurities, it still is enough to make the other lose their trust in you.
The second season of the anime continues where it left off and while the first season focused more on Futaro Uesugi getting to know the quintuplets, this season focuses more on his individual life story about the girl he met in his youth and his one on one character development with the girls in terms of romance. The flow from school-type anime to one that is more focused on romance can be clearly seen here. Along these lines, we can also say that each quintuplet in the anime also has self-realization of their own where they go on to recognize their own personalities and key points and their interest in Uesugi Futaro. From the second season, we get to see how each of them is different even after being similar. The thought process, the approach, and the way each of them deals with their problem show us how they are different and why they as an individual deserve to be in the anime as one of the protagonists.
Speaking technically, the animation in the second season seems slightly better than the first but again not over the top, which just makes the anime more worthwhile as you are not too engaged in appreciating the animation but rather, more focused on understanding each character and the story. There are few mysteries that get solved and romantically we also see progress from some of the characters, which just says that this is an anime that totally deserves another season.
This anime is absolutely a "MUST WATCH."
