There will be times when wits are used more than brawn and times when the latter would be needed to win a war that is amazingly one-sided and lost already. To turn the tide that is so strong, to make our enemies succumb by their own strategies, this is an anime that lays out a plot that teaches us about tactics and warfare all the while showing us a beautiful bond between strangers and friends.
As said earlier this is an anime that teaches us all about war and its good and bad sides, but along with that it also goes on to show us what it means to progress with time and keep up with methods that are new and innovative. Our main protagonist here is Ikta Solork, who is a student of 'Science' and by saving the princess during a voyage, he goes on to become an Imperial Knight, a soldier, and a hero, the three things that he despises the most after what had happened in his youth. From here on we get to see a story that tells us about the incredible feats that he accomplished as a lazy commander and this fun only goes on to last till Episode 6, after which we now see the real genius of Ikta as he goes on to participate in a war that pushes him to the edge after a strategist as capable as he also appears on the enemy side.
Though the anime fairs well in terms of basic plot and animation style, not to forget the use of mystery as a high-end genre, it still goes on to lack in terms of character development as we see no real emotions or change in character during this whole 13 Episodes anime. It gives us hope for 2nd Season in the end however, it is likely that the same may continue and we would still be left in the dark when it comes down to the progression of Ikta's personal story or of his comrades.
This anime is recommended for every "MILITARY" anime lover.
