Ichirou Suzuki aka Satou, is a 29 year old game-developer, is appointed to his new job after the person whom he is replacing suddenly left the job before the delivery date. Suzuki one day like usual comes in to the office to get back to his work and fixes bugs and makes the improvements that are necessary in the different areas of different games. It is just at that time that he realizes that he would not be able to go back to his home and spends three days in a row working in the office. It is just after the time when his last bug is fixed that he realizes that now is the only time that he may get to sleep and it is at this moment that our anime truly starts.
Like many other cliche anime Suzuki, who from now on would be called Satou, is transferred mysteriously to a world that similarly resembles the game that he was working on called "WAR WORLD." The anime from this point very much reminds me of the mixture of two anime called, "SWORD ART ONLINE" and "ReZero." It is not the background and the way the story is described but rather the way how everything in the anime match these two epic anime. Like the game type feature from SAO and the Harem and nice kind of character from ReZero. I would however, give it a very high rating in the way how they changed the story plot and twisted it in a manner by making the character already such a high level person, making him the strongest and the most richest person in the game. The other feature of the anime that I really loved was the fact how anime progressed in a very steady pace and how it also showed us the different life stories of other characters in the anime, by not breaking and interfering with the timeline and the progress rate of the main protagonist story himself. It maintained a steady pace throughout the anime except the last two episodes which were basically all about Mia. I really liked the fact that the whole of the anime did not finish in the first season itself and did not reveal much of what was going on as when in anime they do that, the anime loses it touch and we they get bored as the timeline from present suddenly changes to past (flashback). This again also means that this anime is obviously going to have a second season which is again a plus as when we see this anime at a constant pace, we are intrigued to know about what trouble is now going to strike Satou's life and what will be his decision to solve this problem of his.
The other major questions are, Is Satou going to return to Earth, Is this all a Dream, who spoke those lines in the beginning as Satou first entered the game, How did he actually get such high level, Is is a hero or a Demon Lord, Which girl is he going to end up with, Etc. The main concept of the anime is really amazing, specially the production of the anime where every detail is given a very detailed thought and setting as to how are they going to connect the story and how they change the view from a game (first-person) perspective to a anime perspective and also the way how they keep showing the achievements and the skills that Satou received and used in the small bars in the corners. This anime is definitely a anime which a person can see if he wants a escape from his everyday serious genres of anime.
This anime is recommended for "FANTASY" anime lover.
